My brave little girl Tara. She had surgery in January 2010 to remove a tumor from her back that was determined to be cancerous. In a matter of a couple months, another tumor had begun to grow in the same area. Fibrosarcomas send out cells and it is not always possible to remove them all when the main lump is removed, so there is a good chance that a tumor can return. Tara had surgery again this month [July] to have the 2nd tumor removed. She is 16 years old and is recouperating and getting lots of kisses and TLC.
I photographed her on her first day home after the July surgery as she snoozed on the windowsill...one of her favorite spots. She was napping and watching the birds off and on all day. Hopefully she will feel better and get stronger each day. She's a sweetheart!
